I Pray for You Back Here

Before you left, I thought of you each day,
but when you left, I thought about you more.
Whatever I had thought of you before,
I think of you again, and more, today.
I think of what you like, of what you say,
of how you act, of troubles you endure.
I think about what Jesus has in store
for those, like you, who love Him. So I pray.
It may not be a wisely worded prayer,
but prayed in faith, it is one God will hear.
And when He hears, you could be anywhere.
But anywhere is where He holds you dear.
If, where you are, I cannot, too, be there,
remember that I pray for you back here.
