Revival of Love: Psonnets and Other Poems of Life, Love, and the Lord

Psonnets of Courtship
A Song No One Has Sung

How can I love someone I cannot see?
But for her voice, how I am quick to hear!
When shall I hear her? I shall draw her near.
But when we meet - if we are elderly -
shall I still love whom God has given me?
When I have heard the Spirit's voice so clear,
His perfect love shall cast out any fear.
We shall sing praise in love, and in love be.
And in your latter days, when you are old
and men have looked away toward the young,
and wrinkles shall appear like dross on gold,
alighting in your heart and on your tongue
shall be a newer song no one was told,
and we shall sing a song no one has sung.
