Our Love Is Free

Our love is liberty, not libertine,
consuming fire, yet not one fueled by lust.
No, rather, it is kindled through our trust,
a miracle if ever one were seen -
that time could pass and love remain pristine.
How can it not reduce to ash and dust?
God intercedes on our behalf, and must
be given glory where His love has been.
So now we are a witness, face to face,
how loving God through Jesus Christ must be
because he knits together our embrace
so He might manifest through you and me
how we are saved from sin and death by grace
and, through His faithfulness, our love is free.
